The phrase ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’ stands out among a number of slogans as being both a famous line and a catalyst for driving people from around the world towards the escapist town that is Las Vegas.
But from which movie did it originated?
The most famous movie use should be in the 2009 comedy, The Hangover, as Sid (Jeffrey Tambor) reminds his son before heading out to Vegas for the bachelor party “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas… "
Right followed by a whole movie with Cameron Diaz & Aston Kutcher called " What happens in Vegas"
The more boring but yet funny truth...
But... the real credit for the slogan does not belong to a movie - it belongs to the advertising company R&R Partners which created that slogan to a 2003 and then actually to the people which change that "What happens here, stays here" in the much catchier Phrase - "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas".
Most responsible is the very humorous series of Ads making the slogan stick.
